It is essential that immigrant journalists take a more prominent role in covering the news. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to tackle the historic underrepresentation of immigrants and people of color in the news media. Over the past 17 years Feet in 2 Worlds has supported hundreds of journalists through fellowships and workshops, and with financial backing. The Feet in 2 Worlds network includes reporters and editors who work at public radio stations, online news sites, podcasts, and newspapers.
Together, we’re making American journalism more reflective of the diverse communities that we serve.
Feet in 2 Worlds produces award-winning podcasts, radio stories and digital news articles. Our work has significant and lasting impact on the careers of the journalists we work with.
None of this would be possible without the support of people like you.
This year we’re excited to announce that your donation will go even further. Feet in 2 Worlds has been selected to participate in NewsMatch, a national campaign that helps nonprofit newsrooms strengthen their grassroots donor support through matching gifts. That’s not all. We have received additional matching funds from a long-time supporter, the Ralph E. Ogden Foundation.
Starting now—through December 31— NewsMatch and the Ralph E. Ogden Foundation will each match your donation, tripling your one-time gift of up to $1,000.
Each dollar you donate becomes three dollars to support Feet in 2 Worlds.
Our goal is to raise at least $30,000.
With your contribution and matching funds from NewsMatch and the Ralph E. Ogden Foundation we can do it!
Help elevate the voices of immigrant journalists. Support award-winning journalism. Give nonprofit. Give today.
Your donation will help Fi2W:
- Create a lasting impact on the careers of immigrant journalists and journalists of color
- Contribute to building cultural competence in mainstream media newsrooms
- Help addresses the historic underrepresentation of immigrants and people of color in the news media.
